The difference between cognitive function introversion and extroversion and the common defintion.

Jacqueline Guerrero I don't think we're all damaged extroverts. reflecting back on when I was a toddler, the orientation of my thoughts have not changed despite bi-polar, ocd, social anxiety, ptsd, and add, aspergers... I've always had the same priorities and things that recharge me. acting extroverted was a compulsion

________ Maybe some of us may be mistyped INFJs,maybe we are just damaged extroverts

Jacqueline Guerrero because extrovert does not mean you communicate more or less. it solely represents the direction of your primary function's orientation

Jacqueline Guerrero you can be an introverted extrovert, and introverted introvert, and extroverted introvert, and an extroverted extrovert, because within this form of type theory, there are several misnomers

Jacqueline Guerrero there are also two different types of introversion and extraversion

Jacqueline Guerrero introversion in one respect is being kept to yourself, less talkative, no liking to socialize as much, etc. introversion in the cog. function respect means nothing more than what quality your dominant function has, if you're more inclined to introvertbefore extroverting, what your core preference is, and how you would naturally approach things when not under stress. shadow functions are your fallback functions when all else fail. so say you're an iNfj. you may be a Ni dom, but socialize even more than an E type. Why? because the amount of socializing has nothing to do with your actual orientation, and it could be used as a means to a Ni-introverted end, despite seeming extroverted. it doesn't make you an extrovert, though other will assume so typically unless they've really studied the theory

Jacqueline Guerrero I've read iNfj is actually the most extroverted of all of the introverts. I'd chalk it up to Fe and Se, which means attentiveness to context at work and revising an intuitive system through necessarily guess and checking externally for consistency andmotifs, to fine-tine your ability to accurately anticipate behavior so you know how to act and how to go about achieving your goals in a way that people won't just write you off

I've noticed that with Ni, I tend to kind of interrupt others as they're speaking; not in a rude way, but to affirm I am following their line of thought by attempting to say what they were going to say before they say it. if they agree, that's energizing to me, because it means my Ni system is accurate, and it passed the Ti test. If I'm wrong, I have to figure out which part of my system I had made an incorrect assumption at.
I compare Ni to Jenga. If you don't have a solid foundation, then your understanding you've stacked upon your base will come crashing down, so you have to be very attentive before extrapolating. Of course it necessitates interaction with other people to fine tune it, otherwise you'd never know if you were just making assumptions through projecting, or even if you're on the same page as the other person. It's almost like trying to align your personal understanding with the other persons in order to properly communicate and act in accordance to the context of their response, bringing about the best benefit you can for the other person out of caring and to the best of your ability. That, I believe, is a way Ni is associated with internal transformation.

You become what you need to be(Ni) in order to bring about ____ goal through careful observation of responses (Fe)
by checking your own system of predicting that person's responses for inconsistency (Ti)
to actualize your intention in a manner that aligns with your ideal outcome by taking action in response to contextual changes (Se)

Jacqueline Guerrero lol I was either a loner or on the fringes growing up. for whatever reason, as soon as I stopped caring, everybody else started .-.
